Casey Rhew, MSW, PEL

Casey received her Master of Social Work with a schools specialization from Loyola University Chicago, and her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Social Justice and Inequalities from Miami University. Casey has developed her clinical skill set through a variety of different experiences working alongside diverse groups of children, adolescents, and young adults in schools and community agencies. She currently serves at-risk youth as a school social worker in an inner city school. Casey collaborates closely with parents to effectively support children and adolescents. She is a warm and passionate clinician whose approach is strongly strengths-based and relational as she works to support her clients in utilizing their inherent resilience and capabilities to discover intrinsic motivation and exercise self-determination.

Casey strives to demonstrate empathy, sincerity, compassion, and authenticity in her interactions in order to create safe spaces where clients feel genuinely heard, valued, and empowered. She uses various therapeutic techniques drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Whole Child Framework to support her clients in managing uncomfortable situations, engaging in healthy interpersonal relationships, regulating their emotions, maintaining a positive and honest self-concept, and setting meaningful and realistic goals.
