Isabelle Friedman, MA, LSW

Isabelle earned a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and her Masters of Arts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Social Work with a concentration in Children, Adolescents and Family. Isabelle also received specialized certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who may present with behavioral concerns, symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum. Isabelle strives to help families build on their strengths, create more meaningful connections, and heal from past pain and trauma. She teaches her clients a variety of techniques including emotional regulation, mindfulness, coping and social skills. Isabelle is equipped to build therapeutic connections with all ages spanning from play therapy with her youngest clients, providing support for her teen and young adult clients and partnering with parents and families to promote growth and healing.

 

While Isabelle has a young, spontaneous spirit and a contagious smile, she is diligent, empathic and driven. This delicate combination of character traits allows for a fun and humorous, non-judgemental space for clients to grow and reach their goals. Isabelle fosters a safe and trusting environment that will help her clients feel empowered and supported, especially when dealing with any conflicts they may be experiencing. Isabelle uses an integrative approach that is individualized for each client and family. Her approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy, The Zones of Regulations, Strength-Based Approaches, and Applied Behavior Analysis.
