Kathleen Berger, LCSW, Co-founder


Kathleen Berger, LCSW, is a passionate and experienced practitioner in the field of Social Work who divides her time between clinical practice, supervising and consulting. As a Clinical Supervisor, she also oversaw the School Anxiety/School Refusal program at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates until August 2017. In her clinical practice, she utilizes a wide array of techniques and modalities to provide individual, family and group psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults addressing family and peer conflict, oppositional or risk taking behaviors, stage of life issues, anxiety, depression, behavioral and substance abuse issues. She specializes in assisting her clients in building communication, interpersonal and life skills.


Kathleen’s work is based on her belief that people want to be happy. Her main clinical interest is the need for self-acceptance and compassion, as she utilizes mindfulness and acceptance practices to assist her clients in managing intense and difficult emotions. Kathleen works with her clients to improve self-understanding, to improve self-understanding and decision making, so to better solve problem.
