Kristin Erisman, LCPC

Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who completed her Undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee and earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. Kristin has worked in private practice, community mental health, and residential treatment settings, providing individual, group and family therapy. Kristin has extensive experience treating individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression, self-injury, and anger.

 

As a college athlete, Kristin brings a unique perspective to our team, as she assists her clients to improve their performance both in school, as well as in their sport. She understands the importance of a holistic approach and strives to help individuals achieve a balanced lifestyle. Kristin works to empower her clients by teaching them techniques that will help them discover their passions in life, as well as recognize obstacles to their success. Kristin individualizes treatment based on specific needs of the client. Many of the interventions she uses are based off of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.   Kristin has received specialized training in these interventions, as well as facilitated DBT groups with adolescents for the past several years.
