MaryAnn Dolezal, MA, LCPC

MaryAnn is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with with 26 years of experience teaching, counseling, and coaching adolescents, young adults, adults, and families in educational, nonprofit, and private practice settings.  

 

MaryAnn has completed specialized training in working with gender diverse clients and their families through the WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health), and additionally with clients who have experienced trauma through EMDR Chicago. MaryAnn has developed skills to bring positive change to people exploring their identity, dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, grief, relational conflict, parenting, blended family issues, co-dependency, eating disorders, body image, academic struggles and school refusal. MaryAnn has facilitated groups struggling with family addictions, divorce, blended family conflicts, parenting adolescents, and parenting LGBTQIA+ children. She welcomes and believes it is important to work openly with issues of faith and spirituality, if they emerge during the healing and growth process. MaryAnn is sought after due to her compassionate, direct, and action-oriented approach to therapy, and employs strategies drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, HRT, strengths based, and Internal Family Systems.

 

Personally, MaryAnn loves spending time hiking, biking, and kayaking with family and friends, and playing with her Mini Aussie, Dakota.
