Nicole ALLEN, LCSW

Nicole has a talent for connecting with children and adults of all ages and uses humor and empathy to establish rapport and build a positive working relationship. Parents and children often find Nicole’s approach calming, warm and encouraging.

 

Nicole completed her MSW degree from The University of Illinois (Chicago). Nicole brings a passion to her work with clients, as she combines innovative and creative approaches with real life and practical interventions. Some of the issues Nicole has extensive experience working with include Depression, Anxiety, Self-Injury, ADHD and Substance Issues.

 

Prior to becoming a Clinical Social Worker, Nicole worked in various school settings. Nicole received her BA degree from The University Of Illinois (Urbana) where she majored in Secondary Education. Nicole has over ten years of combined school experience including teaching high school English for 4 years, as well as working with students ranging from early childhood through post-high school, as an educator and as a school social worker. As a school social worker, Nicole specialized in positive behavioral supports and has worked closely with parents and teachers, guiding and coaching them on child-centered strategies that produce effective results in all settings.

 

Nicole is passionate about listening to her clients and believes in a skills-based approach to provide the tools they will need to live healthy, well-balanced lives.
