Maura Reid, LCSW, CADC

Maura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Maura has experience working in a variety of settings, including schools and mental health agencies providing counseling and substance abuse interventions.

 

Maura is an empathic and compassionate listener who assists her clients in creating positive changes in their lives. Maura helps her clients alleviate anxiety and depression, build positive coping strategies, as well as learn to tolerate distress and allow for greater feelings of joy. Maura believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients as a way to strengthen her client’s own relationship with themselves and the people in their lives.  As a school social worker, Maura has specialized in creating therapeutic and academic interventions. She has also had extensive training and experience working with clients who have been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, autism, have substance abuse issues, as well as a history of abuse or domestic violence. Maura uses a variety of therapeutic techniques when working with her clients such as Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  Maura is passionate in helping her clients reach their fullest potential and realize that life is a journey full of possibilities.
