Victoria Galwas, MA, LPC
Victoria Galwas is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. Victoria specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem issues, life transitions, relationship changes, and other challenges.
Victoria believes that collaboration, empathy, reflection, and attentive listening are essential components of individualized care that build resilience. She is passionate about creating supportive spaces for individuals where both strengths and vulnerabilities can co-exist, inspiring healing. Victoria values collaboration with parents, schools, and other supports to create consistency and reinforce progress outside of the therapy space.
Victoria’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns and build psychological flexibility. She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, strengths-based approaches, and creative interventions based on each client’s age and needs. Building trust and rapport is an important part of Victoria’s work and helps create a space where clients feel supported throughout the therapeutic process.
Victoria hopes to help clients better understand themselves, build confidence in navigating difficult thoughts and emotions, and feel empowered to approach challenges in ways that align with who they are and who they hope to become.MA,
