Becky has a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Capella University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Illinois State University. Becky completed her clinical internship at our Center, and we feel fortunate that she has decided to join our team.
Her education and experience working with children in multiple school settings, as well as with parents and families within a community setting, have enhanced her ability to support her clients in navigating their unique life challenges that impact their daily lives and relationships, such as anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, divorce, parenting difficulties, family conflict, and family life transitions.
Becky strives to create an empathetic, collaborative, therapeutic environment for her clients to feel at ease while sharing their thoughts, feelings, and life experiences that have made them who they are today. Using a strengths based approach, Becky works with her clients to build their level of resilience in order to improve their current life experiences and transform their relationships.
Becky uses a variety of therapy models, such as family systems, CBT, Experiential therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, while working with children, teens, adults, parents, couples, and families.
