Catherine is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and her bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Catherine works with a variety of individuals, including children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in supporting those who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and many more.
Catherine prides herself on providing clients a safe space to process their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. Catherine’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to help individuals connect with the present moment, build psychological flexibility, and live in alignment with their values. She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Her practice is adaptable; each of her clients is provided the unique care they need tailoring sessions to meet her clients’ needs and goals.
Catherine is especially passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to creating a safe, affirming space where they can explore their experiences without fear of judgment.
She believes healing and growth happen in a trusting, collaborative relationship. Catherine hopes to provide clients with the foundation and tools to expand on their preexisting strengths and achieve the life they want to see themselves living
