Dr. Stephanie Conforti, Psy.D., LPC

Dr. Conforti is a licensed professional counselor who has a background working with children, adolescents, their families, and adults within a variety of settings, including residential treatment facilities, therapeutic day schools, inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, private-independent practices, and community outpatient centers. Dr. Conforti earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and she received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.

Dr. Conforti provides individual and family services for adolescents, young adults, adults and families dealing with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and loss, identity development, LGBTQIA issues, interpersonal relationships, and helping children and adolescents who may be at higher risk of using maladaptive coping strategies to deal with stressors. Dr. Conforti combines evidence-based treatment with a collaborative and holistic approach in her work with clients. She focuses on personal strengths, skill acquisition, and she believes that a strength-based approach is essential to fostering a sense of self, personal empowerment, and a sense of identity within a system.

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Conforti also has extensive working knowledge regarding consumer advocacy, client rights and financial regulations. Dr. Conforti is also able to assist families in navigating the implementation of behavioral plans, 504 plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) in both public and private schools.,
