Lauren is a counseling intern working towards her Masters in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy at the University of Dayton and has seven years of experience working in private practice, inpatient psych, and partial hospitalization programs. Lauren is passionate about working in a strengths-based and person-centered manner with elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy as appropriate for each client. She believes that collaboration amongst client and therapist is of the utmost importance in her work.

 

As a board-certified music therapist, Lauren has extensive experience in incorporating music and creativity as an outlet for emotional expression, coping, and promoting individual resiliencies and strengths. Lauren enjoys working with all ages with particular interest in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, anxiety, and depression.
