Nicolette Mendicino – LPC

Nicolette earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from DePaul University and her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

 

Nicolette is passionate about supporting children, teens, adults and families struggling with mental health related issues including anxiety and depression, medical issues, as well as life balance, transitions, and developmental concerns. Nicolette strives to help clients better understand and overcome barriers while developing opportunities for growth and healing. Nicolette believes that therapy can help clients discover the best version of themselves.  She uses empathy, authenticity and compassion to facilitate change with her clients.

 

In her work with children, adolescents and adults, Nicolette strives to assist clients to understand their thoughts, feelings, patterns and behaviors that might be disrupting their self-development and emotional well being. She utilizes individualized treatment planning incorporating various therapeutic approaches including DBT, ACT, mindfulness techniques and psychodynamic approaches to promote balance, awareness and a growth-mindset. Nicolette offers a collaborative and supportive approach focusing on utilizing skills and building healthy connections in the home and community.PC
