Olivia Ramirez, MA, LPC

Olivia earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from North Central College and her Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Health Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Olivia’s clinical experience includes working with clients of all ages, but primarily with adolescents. Her training involves utilizing both Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in hospital and non-profit settings. She has predominately worked with individuals who struggle with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and life adjustments. Whether working individually with clients or in a group setting, she aspires to incorporate a holistic approach in order to provide a comprehensive treatment plan that supports helping the entire client heal. This is most often done through the application of the Biopsychosocial-Cultural-Spiritual Model.

Olivia believes in helping clients identify their own personal strengths and goals to promote feelings of empowerment and control. Olivia finds that creating a supportive and validating environment is essential to establishing a therapeutic relationship, which will help the individual feel comfortable enough to disclose the reasons that brought them into counseling. Clients and colleagues describe her as compassionate, kind, and willing to go above and beyond in service of her clients.
