Jacqueline (Jackie) Rhew – LCPC, CADC, Co-founder

JACQUELINE (JACKIE) RHEW, LCPC, CADC – CFEW co-founder and co-author of “The Successful Parenting Workbook: Create Your Custom Plan for Raising Independent Children into Adulthood,” has published several publications in her over 25 years of treating the whole person. In addition to her clinical work, Jacqueline specializes in sports and performance psychological services, working with athletes to strengthen mindset, resilience, confidence, and peak performance both on and off the field.

Jacqueline’s expertise lies in a multitude of areas such as school refusal, eating disorders, self-injury, substance abuse, gaming addictions, grief issues, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Serving both adolescents and adults, Jacqueline implements specific techniques and teachings through individual, family, and group therapy. Her success has been proven through the use of dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, exposure response prevention, and relational therapy during the therapeutic process.

As the co-founder of the Center for Emotional Wellness of the Northwest Suburbs, she is an expert in her field and is called upon by hundreds of school districts, family agencies, and mental health facilities — locally and nationally — for consulting and staff development in order to better serve their youth. Jacqueline served as a Clinical Consultant for AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital for many years and previously served as Assistant Director for the School Anxiety/School Refusal Program — a program she was instrumental in creating and developing. She has facilitated 300-plus workshops for professionals and parents — locally and nationally — on topics ranging from anxiety, school refusal, parenting, and self-injury. In addition, she has provided specialized trainings for U.S. Soccer and several coaching organizations, further expanding her impact within athletic and performance communities.

A sought-after keynote speaker in her field, Jacqueline has been featured in the media for her exemplary work and insight, including Chicago ABC, CBS, The Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald, and the Chicago Parent, concerning the treatment of adolescents struggling with avoidant school behaviors as well as bullying.
