Joseph earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dominican University.. He has extensive experience working in Partial Hospitalization Programs and enjoys working with children, teens, and adults with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, anger, and relationship issues.
Joseph’s counseling approach is empathic, supportive, and accepting. He believes that the counseling process is collaborative and works to help his clients gain insight about themselves and their relationships. Joseph generally uses a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to help his clients develop a healthy perspective of themselves, learn healthy coping strategies, and improve communication and interpersonal skills. In his free time, Joseph enjoys outdoor activities, coaching youth sports, and spending family time with his wife, two young children, and pets.
