Sabrina Rodriguez is a Nationally Board Certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University with specializations in School Counseling and Child and Family Services. Sabrina has worked in schools, inpatient hospital programs, community mental health centers and outpatient private practice since 2012 providing individual and group therapy. She has supervised clinical interns and was a collaborating author in several mental health blogs and news articles.
Sabrina has extensive experience working with children and adolescents. She believes in a collaborative approach to therapy and works closely with parents to effectively support their child and foster change. She believes in providing a safe space for client’s to feel comfortable being their most authentic self, and empowering them to learn new skills and find solutions for the issues that brought them into therapy.
Sabrina specializes in treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, and executive functioning issues. Sabrina utilizes a person centered solution focused approach that includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Practices, as well as, parent education and support.
In addition to her clinical work, she coaches cheerleading and is a former athlete herself. She believes that both physical and mental health are important to your overall wellness. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, crafting, and baking.
